Comics

Comics tell stories using drawn panels, speech bubbles and captions. Artists use layout and expression to guide the reader through the story.

Modern comic books were published from the 1930s.

Comics can be funny, dramatic, factual or fantastical.

Many comics use sound effects, such as bang and whoosh, to add energy to the action. Creating your own comic is a fun way to practise storytelling and drawing.
