Scratch Art

Scratch art is made by covering paper with coloured wax or ink and then scratching a design into the surface. The scratched lines reveal the colours underneath. Artists can use a sharp tool, such as a cocktail stick, to draw fine lines.

Scratch art is a fun craft for children because it is easy and the results look bright and shiny. Experimenting with different colour layers makes each piece unique.
