Animal Rescuer

An animal rescuer helps animals that are hurt, lost or in danger. They care for injured animals, find them homes and work with vets to help them recover. Rescuers often work with volunteers to look after many animals at once.

Animal rescuers sometimes care for wild animals until they are strong enough to return to the wild. Their work requires compassion, patience and practical skills.
