Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is a festival held in Munich, Germany, that celebrates Bavarian culture with music, food, traditional clothing and fairground rides.

It has been held since 1810, although it often starts in September.

Despite its name, the festival often begins in September and runs into early October. It is one of the largest festivals in the world.

People enjoy traditional music, folk dancing, parades and foods such as pretzels and sausages. Many visitors wear traditional clothing like dirndls and lederhosen.
