Handling Money at the Shop

When you buy something in a shop, check the price, count your money carefully and wait for your change. Many shops also accept cards, but cash is still used in many places around the world. Always check your change before you leave the till.

A receipt shows what you bought, how much you paid and the date. Keeping receipts can help if you need to return an item or check your spending later. Asking an adult for help with bigger purchases is a sensible habit.
