All about Fraction Strips
Fraction strips are paper or plastic bars divided into equal parts. Each strip shows a fraction, such as one half, one third or one quarter. Laying strips side by side helps you compare fractions and see which ones are equal.
Fraction strips help children understand that fractions are parts of a whole that can be the same size even when they look different.
