Rhinos

Rhinos are large, thick-skinned mammals with one or two horns made of keratin, the same material as your fingernails. They eat plants and live in grasslands and forests. Several rhino species are endangered because of hunting and habitat loss.

Rhino horns are sometimes illegally hunted for trade, which has led to a fall in rhino numbers. Conservation groups work to protect rhinos from poaching and to restore their habitats.
