Printers

A printer turns digital documents and images into paper copies. Inkjet printers spray tiny drops of ink, while laser printers use toner and heat.

Printers are used at home, in schools and in offices.

An inkjet printer sprays tiny drops of liquid ink onto the paper to make the image. A laser printer uses powder, called toner, that is melted onto the page using heat.

Inkjet printers are good for printing photos in colour, while laser printers are often faster for printing lots of text. Printers need paper and ink or toner to work, and they should be turned off properly to keep them in good condition.
