๐Ÿ’ก Fun fact

All about Strong Passwords

A strong password is hard for others to guess and hard for computers to crack. It should be long, mix letters, numbers and symbols, and be different for each account. A passphrase made of several random words can be both strong and easy to remember.

Never share your passwords, even with friends. Do not use your name, birthday, pet's name or the word "password". Ask a trusted adult to help you use a password manager if you have many accounts.

A password protects your accounts and your personal information.

If you think someone else knows your password, change it straight away. A strong password is one of the simplest ways to keep your account safe.

Frequently asked questions about Strong Passwords

At least 12 characters is a good rule. Longer passwords are harder to guess.

Should I use the same password everywhere?

No. If one account is hacked, the others become easy to break into too.

What is two-factor authentication?

An extra security step, such as a code sent to your phone, which helps protect your account even if someone knows your password.
