All about Greenland

Greenland is the largest island in the world. Most of it is covered by a huge ice sheet, and only a narrow strip of land around the coast is free of ice in summer. It is part of the Kingdom of Denmark but governs most of its own affairs.

Most people in Greenland live in small towns along the coast. Fishing is an important part of life, and many people speak Greenlandic. The ice sheet is slowly melting, which is one of the signs of climate change.
