All about Iceland

Iceland is an island country in the North Atlantic Ocean, close to the Arctic Circle. The land has volcanoes, hot springs, waterfalls and huge glaciers. Most people live in and around the capital, Reykjavik.

Iceland gets most of its electricity and heating from renewable energy, including geothermal power from hot water under the ground. Because it sits on a volcanic ridge, earthquakes and eruptions happen there fairly often.
