The Hair Dryer

A hair dryer blows hot or cool air to dry wet hair quickly. It uses a fan to push air through a heating element inside a handheld tube. Many hair dryers have settings for different temperatures and airflow speeds.

The first hand-held hair dryers were large and heavy, and some were not hand-held at all. Modern hair dryers are lighter, more efficient and often include safety features to prevent overheating.
