Fire Safety

If there's a fire: get out, stay out and call for help. Stay low under smoke and never go back for toys.

๐Ÿ’ก Fun fact

Smoke alarms should be tested every month.

All about Fire Safety

Fire can spread very quickly, so it is important to know what to do. If there is a fire, get out, stay out and call for help. Do not stop to collect toys or belongings, and never go back into a burning building.

Keep matches and lighters away from children and never play with them. Test smoke alarms regularly and make a fire escape plan with your family. If there is smoke, crawl low under it, where the air is cleaner, and close doors behind you as you leave.

Feel doors before opening them, and if a door is hot, use another way out.

Plan an escape route from every room in your home and practise it with your family. Knowing what to do can save lives.
