Bagpipes

Bagpipes are a wind instrument with a bag that is filled with air and squeezed to play drones and a melody. They are a famous part of Scottish culture.

Bagpipes have been played in Scotland and Ireland for centuries.

The bag keeps a steady supply of air, which lets the player play a continuous drone along with the melody pipes.

Bagpipes are often played at ceremonies, parades and celebrations. Learning to play them takes patience, because the player must keep the bag full of air while playing the tune.
