Flamenco

Flamenco is an art form from southern Spain that combines singing, guitar playing, hand clapping and dance. It is known for its passion and rhythm.

UNESCO recognised flamenco as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Flamenco developed among Romani and Andalusian communities and has become one of the most famous Spanish traditions.

Flamenco dancers use their hands, feet and expressive body movements to tell stories. The guitar and clapping set the rhythm, and the performance often builds to an exciting climax.
