All about Koalas
Koalas are marsupials that live in eucalyptus trees in Australia. They eat eucalyptus leaves, which are tough and low in energy, so koalas sleep for up to 20 hours each day to save energy. Koalas carry their young in a pouch.
Koalas have fingerprints that look very similar to human fingerprints. Their eucalyptus diet is poisonous to most other animals, so koalas have special bacteria in their stomachs that help them digest it.
